Common questions

Is Dotnote free?

Yes. Dotnote is completely free to download and use. There is no subscription, trial, or in-app purchase.

Is my data backed up?

Yes. Your data syncs automatically to iCloud. If you set up a new iPhone, even without restoring from a backup, your entries will reappear once you sign into the same iCloud account.

I deleted the app. Is my data gone?

No. Your data lives in iCloud. Reinstall Dotnote, and everything comes back. To permanently delete your data, remove your entries within the app before uninstalling, or go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage and delete Dotnote's data.

Do I need an account?

No. Dotnote does not require an account, sign-in, or personal information. Your entries stay on your device and sync privately through iCloud.
